Nicole is the morning meteorologist here at CBS Austin. You can catch her forecast every weekday morning from 4:10-7:00 AM.
Growing up in north Georgia, Nicole got a little taste of everything that weather can throw at you from tornadoes and flooding to hurricanes and blizzards. Georgia’s rapidly changing weather sparked Nicole’s interest in meteorology at a young age, and she has spent many hours in front of the TV watching “Storm Stories” with her sister.
Nicole graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in meteorology and math and a minor in broadcast journalism.
After graduation, Nicole traded in hurricanes for snowstorms to kick off her television career in Grand Junction, Colorado. There, she had the opportunity to also explore news anchoring, reporting, and producing while working as a meteorologist. Nicole then moved to Amarillo, Texas, as a morning meteorologist where she learned to know and love Texas weather. Storm chasing was a large part of her job while in the Panhandle, and it quickly became one of her favorite hobbies.
When she’s not forecasting your weather, Nicole enjoys fishing, skiing, and hiking as well as spending time with friends and family (and of course her precious dog, Olive!).
