The El Paso-native began her career in Eastern North Carolina as a multimedia journalist at the CBS affiliate, WNCT-TV in Greenville, North Carolina. During her time at WNCT, Abigail covered 4-6 counties, and focused on character driven storytelling primarily in underserved/minority communities.

Abigail graduated with honors from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, in December of 2022 with a degree in Multimedia Journalism.

While at UIW, Abigail served as a reporter and lead anchor for UIWtv, a student-run newscast. Additionally, Abigail served as the chief of staff in the UIW Student Government Association.

Prior to the start of her career, Abigail served the central Texas community as Miss San Antonio USA 2022, and founded her own social awareness initiative, #ValueYourVote. As a Bexar County Voter Registrar, Abigail registered over 200 people to vote in the Bexar County area. Abigail’s love for journalism began in her hometown of El Paso, Texas, while she attended El Paso Community College and the University of Texas at El Paso, before transferring to UIW on scholarship. It was in her early years of college that she realized the need for and importance of media outlets reporting factual and unbiased news to the masses.

Abigail looks forward to serving the Capitol City community via storytelling and acting as a vessel of the truth and powerful storytelling in the media.
