A new poll says 74 percent of Austinites would welcome Major League Soccer.

Research group Opinion Analytics surveyed 400 people. Precourt Sports Ventures -- which could move its club in Columbus, Ohio to Austin -- paid for the survey.

Despite the high approval, the poll was split over the potential site in North Austin for a venue, McKalla Place.

The Austin City Council will discuss the future of MLS in Austin during Tuesday's work session.
