AUSTIN, Texas — One man has died following a vehicle versus tree crash in east Austin.
Austin Fire crews and Austin police responded to the scene at 1102 Tillery Street around 4:37 p.m. Sunday evening. Austin-Travis County EMS reported that the man was pinned inside his vehicle. Responding crews extricated him and administered CPR.
He was later pronounced deceased on scene. APD says the preliminary investigation shows the victim was driving in a red mini cooper and lost control and then hit a tree.
This is Austin's 97th fatal traffic crash of 2021.
