Small town soap makers set world record with largest bath bomb
FT. WAYNE, Indiana —
Small city, huge world record.
A soap maker in Indiana attempted to set the world record for the biggest bath bomb Sunday.
Mama Pearson's Soaporium in Gas City had a community wide audience today and a shrinking timer.
Currently, there is no bath bomb record. Guinness World Records required Amy and Pat Pearson to make one that weighed at least 45 pounds. They set the bar high with 198 pounds.
Baking soda, citric acid, lemon grass scented fragrance, 18 hands on deck and a lot of creativity to create a bath bomb 600 times bigger than what they're used to making.
But endure the stress, and a world class moment is yours.
"Oh it was so great. You have to soak in your success. You know for sure. So I definitely had to soak in the success today," Amy said.
All of the action was caught on camera, documented and sent to Guinness World Records.
The Pearsons will get their official certificate in 15 weeks.
