Medicine and flavored drinks recalled

Sandoz and Novartis is recalling prescription drug blister packages due to failure to meet child-resistant closure requirements.

The prescription drug packaging is not child resistant as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, posing a poisoning risk if swallowed by children.

About 470,000 boxes are being recalled.

Talking Rain is recalling bottles of its Sparkling Ice Cherry Limeade beverage due to a small number of customer complaints that reported an off-taste and off-odor of the affected product, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Talking Rain is investigating the difference in the taste and odor.

Consumers who purchased the affected product are advised not to drink it and to call the Talking Rain customer center at 855-201-4333 to receive a coupon to replace their purchase.
