FBI asking people to report family members and peers for extremism

QUANTICO, Virginia - The FBI is asking people to report any family members or friends who show extremism behavior.

According to the FBI this will help prevent homegrown violent extremism.

In a Facebook post, the bureau says that "family members and peers are often best positioned to witness signs of mobilization to violence."

A document, the FBI posted called 'Homegrown Violent Extremist Mobilization Indicators,' it details how people can spot extremism and report it.
