Family chooses to honor murdered teen by posing body in chair with video game controller
The family of an 18-year-old man who was shot to death decided to celebrate his life by placing his body in a chair with a video game controller in his hand and dressed in Boston Celtics gear.
Friends and family mourned Renard Matthews, 18, with a non-traditional wake over the weekend, according to New Orleans media outlet WGNO.
Matthews' body was placed in front of a television with a Boston Celtics game on the screen.
His mother described Matthews as a homebody who only recently started venturing out into his neighborhood when he took his dog for a walk.
