Elementary students donate $500 from chore money to school lunch debts
RICHLAND, Wash. -- Three brothers know first-hand that it's better to give than to receive.
The trio of brothers from White Bluffs Elementary school in donated $500 to their school.
The money will pay off the school lunch debt of the entire school.
The boys said they earned the cash by doing chores like dishes and taking out the trash all school year.
They said they did it to help their fellow classmates.
“So their parents are getting more and more poor, so me and my brothers and my mom and dad started talking about it earlier this school year,” third grader Robert More said.
“To help other people that need help,” Daniel More said.
“To help other people that are poor,” Jacob More added
The brothers said they would do it all over again. And their advice to others? Don't be greedy--anyone can make a difference.
