President Biden continues to rack up vacation time as the 80-year-old commander-in-chief relaxed on a Delaware Beach Monday as part of a 10-day beach getaway.

The president's latest trip away from DC adds to the known 360 vacation days he has taken so far, amounting to nearly 40% of the total time he has spent in office, TheDailyMail.com reports.

Biden’s supporters have justified his trips for their close proximity to the White House, compared to other presidents who traveled to states not adjacent to D.C.

Vacation travel is a common criticism of presidents from both sides of the aisle, dating back to the creation of the office. John Adams received criticism for spending time with his sick wife, and Franklin Roosevelt was chastised for spending time on his yacht, CNN reported.

Biden’s frequent travel to Delaware has been categorized as work trips by mainstream outlets. Trump spoke similarly of his visits to Mar-a-Lago, saying “I would not be a president who took vacations. I would not be a president that takes time off.”

In terms of visits to Camp David, the presidential country retreat, Biden has nearly double the amount of visits as Trump, but still pales in comparison to past presidents like George W. Bush, who took 150, according to Wikipedia.
