US Marshals searching for man with violent criminal history
Eric Vinh Nelson, 30, is wanted for a violent sexual assault that happened in late 2017.
"Mr. Nelson committed both these crimes at the same time where he sexually assaulted someone and during that offense, he used a hammer on them. The victim is lucky to still be alive," said Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Darren Sartin.
Nelson was arrested and got out on bond and hasn't been seen since. But even then, he racked up more charges.
"During that time, he's also been charged federally out of the U.S. district court out of Waco for possession with intent to distribute cocaine and using a firearm during these narcotics transactions," said Sartin.
Nelson has a criminal history dating back to 2007 with seven arrests and four convictions.
"He's got numerous sexual assaults, aggravated assaults with a deadly weapon, and numerous narcotics violations. So, he kind of touches every bad criminal element that we go out and look for," said Sartin.
Officials believe Nelson is somewhere in the Central Texas area and his last known address was in the 1600 block of Mona drive in Killeen. They want him behind bars before anyone else is hurt.
"I think there are more victims out there that may be afraid to come forward because of his criminal history and because they're scared of him," said Sartin.
Eric nelson is 5'9 and weighs 160 pounds. If you have any information about him call the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at 512-800-4213.
