US Marshals arrest fugitive wanted for aggravated assault in Pflugerville
UPDATE: Officials with the Lone Star fugitive Task Force say Jonathan David Fisher was arrested Friday, July 13, in Pflugerville.
Further details were not immediately available.
Jonathan David Fisher, 43, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for an incident with his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend on May 1st.
“Jonathan Fisher drives by the residence and brandishes a firearm which threatens this victim and the boyfriend as they retreat back inside the residence,” said Deputy U.S. Marshal Brandon Filla.
Fisher has been broken up with his ex for a year but has continued to harass her.
“Jonathan Fisher’s been known to assault, threaten, harass this victim,” said Filla. “I believe the only thing that hasn’t happened luckily yet in this particular case is that he hasn’t pulled the trigger.”
U.S. Marshals say Fisher is known to be violent and has a long criminal history dating back to 1992.
“Charges such as possession of marijuana, disorderly conduct, engaging in criminal activity, assault family violence, aggravated assault,” said Filla.
He’s also known to drive several different vehicles, but used one in particular during the May 1st incident.
“One in particular is a white utility truck with some type of utility rack and a toolbox.” Said Filla.
Authorities want him off the streets to give his ex-girlfriend some peace of mind.
“That’s why it’s very important to get him off the streets before he does cross that line and pull that trigger, or further endanger other individuals who may come in his way,” said Filla.
Fisher is 5’8” and weighs 160 pounds. Marshals are focusing their search on the Austin and Pflugerville areas. If you have any information on his whereabouts call the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at 512-800-4213.
