Central Texas fugitive caputed in Giddings
UPDATE: The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force says their officers arrested Bijan Wolridge on Monday in Giddings without incident.
Further details were not immediately available.
38-year-old Bijan Wolridge's criminal history dates back to 1999.
"We're looking at things such as narcotics, for one. Domestic violence, aggravated assault, aggravated assault -- family violence, also aggravated assault with a deadly weapon," said deputy U.S. Marshal Brandon Filla.
Wolridge spent five years in prison for a felon in possession of a firearm charge and was sentenced to three years of supervised release. Since getting out, officers said he's still committing crimes.
"On at least three of four he has failed those drug tests. He's tested positive for cocaine as well as marijuana," said Filla.
And this past August, he's accused of assaulting a woman in Giddings.
"He becomes agitated, grabs her while they're going down the roadway, he's in the backseat, grabs her by the neck and causes an injury to her eye," said Filla.
Wolridge is now wanted for violating the terms of his release.
"He still has to be monitored by someone to make sure that he's rehabilitated himself into society, and we've learned here he's still violating," said Filla.
Wolridge is 5'7, weighs 215 pounds, and has multiple tattoos. If you have any information on his whereabouts, call the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at 512-800-4213.
