His name is Paul Michael Blackmer. The U.S. Marshals Service says the 34-year old has an extensive criminal history.

Supervisory Deputy Marshal Hector Gomez says, "Blackmers' crimes have escalated over his adult life, from simple larceny, petty theft, burglary unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, narcotics, assault with bodily injury, stalking."

Blackmer has had run-ins with the law since 2002.

He's wanted by the U.S. Marshals for violating his probation.

"He's also wanted by the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office in Lockhart for failing to appear on an outstanding theft charge," says Gomez.

Blackmer was last seen in the Austin area in December 2012.

Originally from upstate New York, Blackmer spent most of his adult life in Bastrop County.

Members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force say he is a danger to the public.

Gomez says, "Over the course of his adult life, his criminal activity, criminal behavior has escalated to the point where he is carrying firearms."

Blackmer has a variety of tattoos all over his body.

The most visible are the letters ATX on his neck, a tattoo on his hairline and a collage of tattoos on his left arm.

He also has the word "Italiano" on his abdomen and "loyalty" on his back. And a scar crosses his forehead.

Gomez says, "He's going to be very easy for the public, that if they do see him, they're going to quickly be able to identify him as Paul Blackmer."
