In August 2017, officials issued a federal warrant for Jose Ramiro Castellano-Ortiz, 48, for a supervised release violation.

"That violation was issued on an original charge where he was sentenced and convicted for conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine in January 2011," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Brandon Filla.

Castellano-Ortiz was sentenced to 57 months, plus three years of supervised release. When he got out, he was deported back to his native Mexico. At some point, he re-entered the U.S. illegally and was arrested earlier this year.

"ICE was notified that this individual was in the Travis County Jail where he was arrested for a DWI and failure to identify," said Filla.

He bonded out and hasn't been seen since. U.S. Marshals say he worked in Austin for some time doing contracting work and they believe someone will recognize him and know where he is.

"He was a painter," said Filla. "He was also known to scrap, sell, trade aluminum and metal here in the Austin area."

Castellano-Ortiz is 5'5" and weighs 160 pounds. He has tattoos of women on both of his shoulders. If you know of his whereabouts call the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at 512-800-4213.
