Tip from CBS Austin viewer takes continuous sexual abuse suspect off the streets
UPDATE: A Central Texas fugitive accused of continuously sexually abusing children has been arrested thanks to a tip from a CBS Austin viewer.
The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force told CBS Austin George Gideon was arrested at a San Marcos motel Thursday morning.
A man is on the run after Bee Cave Police say he sexually abused two young girls.
Records show that over the course of a year, George Gideon continuously approached the girls while they were sleeping.
“This incident happened within the confinement of their home,” said U.S. Deputy Marshal Brandon Filla.
Bee Cave Police documented at least six of these incidents but believe there could have been more.
The girls, 10 and 12 years of age, made an outcry to their step-mother in December of 2016.
But when the Bee Cave Police tried to arrest him, he was gone.
“He’s definitely comfortable in the Austin area, probably South Austin, we are looking all the way into Caldwell County as well,” Filla said.
The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is warning anyone that might be aiding him of possible charges.
“He knows there is a warrant for his arrest, the family has been advised as well as the girlfriend,” Filla said.
If you have any information on his whereabouts call the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at 512-800-4213.
