AUSTIN, Texas — A crash in South Austin has turned deadly.
Austin-Travis County EMS says a woman in her 50s was killed in the 6000 block of W. William Cannon near Escarpment Blvd.
EMS officials said two adult males were also transported to a nearby hospital, a man in his 50s with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries, and a man in his 20s with non-life threatening injuries.
At approximately 3:42 pm the APD received multiple 911 calls in reference to a collision at Ridge Oak Drive & West William Cannon Drive.
The Austin Police Department said the collision happened at around 3:45 p.m. and involved a maroon sedan and a black Chevrolet pickup truck. The maroon sedan was pulling out of Ridge Oak Drive onto William Cannon when it was struck by the truck. The driver of the maroon sedan was killed.
APD said weather may have had a factor because roads were slick, but detectives are still investigating.
