Woman accused of punching another woman in the face for cutting in line at gas pump
AUSTIN, Texas —
A woman is facing charges after she allegedly assaulted another woman cut the line at a gas pump.
It happened on Sunday around 6:30 p.m. at the H-E-B near I-35 and Parmer Lane in northeast Austin.
According to an affidavit, the victim and her mother pulled up to a pump at the store without realizing there was a line of vehicles waiting.
The victim told police she was told by a security guard to go ahead and fuel her vehicle. That's when she was confronted by the suspect, later identified as 44-year-old Robin Renee Sanders, who blocked access to the pump card reader with her body and would not move away.
After paying the attendant cash for the sale, bypassing Sanders, the victim told police Sanders took further offense to this and said "you're an ugly b----" and then struck her across the right side of the face with a closed fist.
Police say Sanders continued to strike the victim with both of her fists, causing contusions, swelling and redness to the victim's face.
Sanders was arrested and charged with assault with injury, a class A misdemeanor.
