First surf park in US to open in Austin
AUSTIN, Texas —
North America's first surf park, NLand Surf Park, is set to welcome surfers around the world to Austin.
NLand Surf and Park will open to the public Friday, October 7th. The park will offer world-class surfing to all of its visitors.
"As a surfer and an engineer, NLand has been a dream of mine for the past 20 years. We have had our share of challenges, but they are behind us and I look forward to sharing our waves with the world," said Doug Coors, NLand founder.
No matter your level of expertise, the park will suit you and all your family; from head-high, open face waves with a 35-second ride for experts to gentle white water waves for kids and beginners.
The 14-acre lagoon has more than 11 million gallons of rainwater collected from the property.
NLand will be open Tuesday through Sunday from 11a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Mondays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
