TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — The Travis County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that happened overnight at the Big-Tex Fireworks stand.
Officials said between midnight and 2 a.m. two armed robbers approached the firework stand located on West Howard Lane, about a mile east of I-35.

TCSO says a man working the stand then opened fire on the two suspects, hitting one of them.
After a search of the area, sheriff's deputies found the suspect hiding behind a residential fence less than half a mile from the scene of the robbery.
He was taken to a local hospital with multiple non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The second suspect was not located.
