A Travis County Jail inmate died at a local hospital Sunday morning after he suffered a medical emergency, a county spokesperson said.
According to Travis County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Kristen Dark, 55-year-old Ronald Lynn Hall, 55 of Austin, was found lying on the floor of his cell in distress at Travis County Correctional Complex.
As he was being transported to Dell Seton Medical Center, CPR was performed in an effort to resuscitate Hall, but it was not successful. He was pounced dead at approximately 10:20 a.m.
An autopsy was conducted on Monday. A final report on Hall's death is pending toxicology results, Dark said.
