Three people safe after being swept away in greenbelt
AUSTIN, Texas —
Three people were swept away by the water current in the Barton Creek Greenbelt Saturday afternoon but made their way back to land safely.
The Austin Fire Department stated that initial reports were that three people were swept away but an updated call reported that the three were out of the water but on opposite sides of the creek.
Westlake Fire as well as Austin-Travis County EMS assisted in locating the patients.
Crews assisted the people out of the greenbelt. No injuries were reported.
