Three people are dead after a fiery crash near San Marcos on Friday night.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2006 Nissan Titan, driven by 22-year-old Ramiro Ramirez of Wimberley, was traveling north on RR12 when Ramirez veered onto the wrong side of the road.

The truck struck a 2018 Chevy Traverse driven by a New Braunfels woman on the left rear. The Traverse spun 180 degrees and skidded along a guardrail before coming to a stop.

Ramirez's truck continued down the wrong side of the road and struck a 2007 Lincoln MKX head-on.

DPS says the truck stopped and caught fire. The Lincoln was pushed backward and came to a stop on top of a guardrail.

Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger in the Lincoln, 40-year-old Angela Mary Masullo and 44-year-old Daniel Stuart Masullo of Wimberley, were also pronounced head at the scene.

The driver of the Traverse was treated and released. Two other passengers in the Lincoln were transported to South Austin Medical Center. Their conditions are unknown.
