Texas received federal funding to help secure elections. What was done with the money?

The State of Texas received more than $23 million from the federal government in 2018 to help enhance election security. The money is part of the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) to help strengthen election infrastructure security. According to the Texas Secretary of State’s Office, only a portion of the money has been used prior to the midterm election. (CBS Austin file image)
