NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — Police arrested a woman Sunday after officers found hundreds of pieces of mail in her vehicle, New Braunfels Police say.
Officers were called to the Caprock Subdivision about 4:30 a.m. for reports of someone possibly tampering with community mailboxes.
Responding officers located a vehicle described by witnesses and conducted a traffic stop. Officers could immediately see several hundred packages and other assorted mail in the vehicle. The mail items are suspected stolen from the Caprock and Legend Pond subdivisions.
The driver of the vehicle was also found with methamphetamines.
Lana Krupka, 42, was taken into custody and transported to the Guadalupe County Jail and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The alleged mail theft portion of the investigation has been handed over to the Office of the Inspector General for the United States Postal Service in San Antonio.
