Salvation Army in need of household donations
The Salvation Army of Austin’s Shelter for Women and Children says it is in desperate need of basic household items.
The organization is looking for clean and in good working condition cutlery, pots and pans, dish sets, and much more.
All donations go directly to families in need staying at the shelter, the organization said.
People can donate anytime between 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. seven days a week at The Salvation Army’s Shelter for Women and Children, located at 4613 Tannehill Ln Building 3, Austin, TX 78721.
“We are currently struggling to provide families who graduate from our program with items to furnish their new homes. It is extremely important for us to provide a mother and her children basic needs to start their new life outside of the shelter,” said Stacy Schwarz, The Salvation Army’s Shelter Director for the Austin Shelter for Women and Children.
