Police searching for NW Austin bank robbery suspect

    Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect from a Tuesday morning bank robbery in Northwest Austin.

    It happened at around 10 a.m. at the Bank of America located in the 12500 block of Research Boulevard, just south of the Spicewood Springs Road intersection.

    Investigators with the Austin Police Department say the suspect entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. He then fled southbound on Research Blvd. with an undisclosed amount of cash.

    The suspect is described as a white male and approximately 5' 10" tall. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, white shirt and baseball cap.

    He also has tattoos on the back of his head.
