Police investigate after finding dead man with several gunshot wounds

SAN ANTONIO – Authorities are investigating after they found a dead man with several gunshot wounds.

Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Cantrell Drive at around 9:51 p.m. for a shooting in progress.

Upon police arrival, they found the 54-year-old man with several gunshot wounds. EMS performed life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say that they have no information on the suspects, but they know that a group of men was seen running from the location after shots were fired.

Officers did search the area and found some individuals that may be involved and were taken downtown for further questioning.

This is an ongoing investigation.
