Police in Pflugerville are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect they say stole money from an elderly man after he withdrew cash from an ATM.

Detectives say it happened Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018. The victim had withdrawn more than $1,000 from the bank and put it in his car. The suspect smashed a window to get into the vehicle and steal the money when the elderly man reentered the bank.

The suspect is described as a young black male in his 20's with a thin beard and mustache.

Law enforcement authorities say 'jugging' is when a criminal watches for a person using an ATM machine or withdrawing cash at a bank to later rob them. Sometimes the victim is followed from the bank or ATM.

Anyone with information about this suspect should call the Criminal Investigation Division Tip Line at 512-990-6731 or email cidtips@pflugervilletx.gov.
