PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KEYE) - In a Pflugerville subdivision spring flowers aren't the only thing that is pink.

"No HOA. I pre-planned this specifically because of that reason, so when people get mad I explain there is no HOA here," said Emilio Rodriguez.

He bought his home in November and painted it pink -- everywhere, including the roof.

"I did the back first, the whole back of the house, then I did the whole house," said Rodriguez.

He says it's his dream home.

"I love this house. I don't know why people don't like it," Rodriguez said.

After a car accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down at 4 years old, and dozens of surgeries as a teenager, he was left in a wheelchair. Rodriguez says the pink house is part of the 'Keep Austin Weird' vibe. "That's what people keep saying they're like why are people so freaked out? Have they never been to Austin?" he said.

Neighbors who disagree may only have one remedy -- filing a lawsuit.
