Man hit, killed after driver swerved to miss dog, say deputies
SAN ANTONIO - A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Monday night in South Bexar County.
Authorities were called to Blue Wing Road and Farm to Market 1937 just after 8 p.m. for reports of an accident involving a pedestrian. Investigators said a man was walking his dog Northbound on Farm to Market 1937, when the dog ran into the roadway. The driver swerved to miss the dog and ended up hitting the pedestrian, deputies said.
The unidentified pedestrian died at the scene.
The vehicle who hit the pedestrian stopped to render aid and cooperated with deputies. Investigators do not believe alcohol played a role in the accident.
