New Dell Seton Medical Center open, here is what you should know
At 7 a.m. Sunday, the University Medical Center Brackenridge closed its doors and the Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas will open to the community.
Beginning at 8 a.m., Seton teams along with Austin-Travis County EMS moved patients via ambulance from UMCB across the street to Dell Seton Medical Center located at the 1500 block of Red River Street.
Seton says emergency care will remained uninterrupted during the entire transition time.
Seton says patients will no longer be accepted at the UMC Brackenridge location and must go to Dell Seton Center instead. The only exception for patients in need of the UMC Brackenridge psychiatric emergency department, that will remain open.
To park at Dell Seton, enter the parking garage at the corner of Red River Street and 15th Street. Use the crosswalk from the parking garage to enter Dell Seton Medical Center.
Emergency patient drop off is at the Emergency Department entrance located on the southwest corner of the hospital building. 15th Street and Red River. Seton says to look for red "Emergency" signs.
