Suspect identified in New Braunfels Motel 6 shooting

Update: New Braunfels Police are seeking information about the whereabouts of suspect Profirio Navarro, an 18-year-old from Seguin who is described as five feet tall and about 100 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to contact New Braunfels Police or Comal County Crimestoppers, who are offering a reward of up to $4,000 for information that leads to an arrest and/or grand jury indictment.

The New Braunfels Police Department is investigating a shooting at a Motel 6 that sent one man to the hospital with a gunshot wound on Saturday night.

Police responded to the incident at approximately 10:51 p.m. on January 12 when a clerk at the hotel was shot in the face after an altercation with a small group of people who were not guests at the Motel 6.

Officers provided medical aid to the victim and the 32-year-old was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), where he is currently in stable condition.
