Motorcycle club helps clean up local vet's property
AUSTIN, Texas —
A World War II vet has a new fixed up home thanks to the help of an east Austin community.
Louis Hicks is known for always helping others and not asking anything in return. He's accrued bikes for neighborhood kids that he once fixed up and they've since grown out of.
When Hicks had property stolen from his yard, police responded and realized how much help he needed.
An Austin motorcycle club stepped in Saturday and cleaned up his yard.
The Wind Therapy Freedom riders presented Hicks with his very own vest and the road name 'Big Poppa'.
