SAN ANTONIO - A member of a mariachi band is in custody after crashing into a Jack in the Box restaurant on the West Side.
The accident happened around 3 a.m. at the Jack in the Box off Culebra and 24th Street.
Police said the mariachi band had just finished a gig and were driving on Culebra when they missed the turn onto 24th Street and instead wound up slamming into the front of the restaurant.
There were two performers in the vehicle with their instruments and they were heading home.
Police said the driver was taken into custody on suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated. Nobody was seriously hurt.
