Manor Police still searching for man accused of impersonating one of their officers
Manor Police are still searching for a man accused of impersonating one of their officers, pulling a woman over, and attacking her Saturday.
The woman told police she was pulled over by a black and white car with police lights at around 8:40 a.m. on Hwy 290 near George Bush Street.
The officer told the woman she was pulled over for a broken taillight. When she told the man her lights did work, she said he responded with "stop being a smart ass," punched her in the face and then told her to "get the f**k out of here."
Roger Pena drives down the stretch of road where it happened every day and says the incident is alarming for him.
"People are crazy. You gotta be careful," Pena said.
The victim filed a complaint with the Manor Police Department. Manor PD said it found no officers doing traffic stops at the time and believe someone was impersonating an officer.
