Suspect in east Travis County fatal stabbing arrested in North Texas

UPDATE 10:15 p.m.: The Travis County Sheriff's Office says the suspect in Wednesday night's fatal stabbing has been arrested.

Adan Torres was arrested in North Texas, according to a spokesperson for the sheriff's office.

Further details were not immediately available. More information is expected to be released Friday morning.


A man in his 20's was stabbed to death at a home in east Travis County late Wednesday night, according to Austin-Travis County EMS and the Travis County Sheriff's Office.

The Travis County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to a home in the 5700 block of Caroline Ln. just after 11:15 p.m. They say several people were at that location when two men started fighting. One of them stabbed the other and ran away.

Austin-Travis County EMS said the victim, 25-year-old Jorge Louis Flores, died at the scene.

According to an affidavit, the suspect has been identified as 31-year-old Adan Torres. He's charged with murder.
