A man’s act of kindness made one restaurant’s re-opening day one to remember.
On Friday, the first day restaurants re-opened after Governor Greg Abbott’s stay at home order expired, a man left a $1,300 tip to his waiter at the Frog and the Bull restaurant in Steiner Ranch.
The owner of the restaurant, David Hernandez, says that the man asked to be charged double the amount of his tab and added a tip.
“His tab came to $337, he then said to double charge him, then he gave the server a $300 tip, and another $1000 to the restaurant," said Hernandez.
The father of the man's waiter also tells us he signed the receipt with a simple note....’Good Luck’,”
The man's waiter was a senior in high school.
