Austin, Texas — For the second time in 24 hours, a man riding a scooter in Downtown Austin was hit by a car.
Police responded to the intersection of East 7th Street and Red River about 2:40 Sunday morning.
Investigators tell CBS Austin a 29-year-old man was riding a scooter in the crosswalk when he was hit by a pickup truck.
The victim was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be ok.
The driver left the scene before police arrived.
Officers are now reviewing nearby surveillance video in an effort to identify the pickup truck.
Sunday morning's collision was the second time this weekend a man on a scooter was hit.

Early Saturday morning, a 25-year-old man was injured on West 6th Street.
He was also not seriously injured.
