Man hits train with small ax, knocks self out

SAN ANTONIO - A man is in the hospital after banging on a train with an ax and knocking himself out.

The accident happened just before 12:30 a.m. Friday at the tracks just South of Downtown off Frio City Road near Drake Avenue.

Police said a man was hitting the train with a small ax. That's when it bounced back and hit him in the head. The man was able to walk away, but EMS and Police found him a short time later.

He was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center with head injuries. He also spend the night undergoing a psych evaluation.
