Man accused of robbing fireworks stand at gunpoint
SAN ANTONIO —
The Bexar County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a man accused of robbing a fireworks stand at gunpoint just one hour into the new year.
According the department's Facebook page, Damarrea Lacey is accused of robbing the Alamo Fireworks stand located along FM 78 just after midnight on New Year's Day.
Investigators believe Lacey and a female suspect held three employees at gunpoint and stole thousands of dollars in cash before getting away.
Lacey turned himself in this week to deputies after learning he was wanted for the crime.
Lacey faces a charge of aggravated robbery. Deputies did not release information about the female suspect.
