Man accused of drive-by shooting in Taylor
TAYLOR, Texas-Taylor Police have identified and arrested a suspect accused of a drive by shooting.
Police say 36-year-old Brian Evans, of Atlanta, was arrested Tuesday in the 1900 block of N. Maine St. by Taylor Detectives.
According to the authorities, the officials obtained a warrant of arrest for the suspect on Wednesday November 1st.
Brian Evans is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, as well as felon in possession of a firearm.
According to Taylor Police, officials responded to a shooting reported in the 1000 block of Price St. at 4:19 a.m. The shooter fled the scene before the officials arrived.
The victim, a 30-year-old man, was transported to Seton Williamson County Hospital where he was treated and released for a gunshot wound to his right hand and his right leg.
Police say the victim and witnesses on scene were uncooperative with the officers. This is an ongoing investigation.
