Making a Difference - Hospice Austin's Camp Erin
AUSTIN, Tx —
In a few weeks, kids from one summer camp will meet up for a reunion. But this is more than your average retreat. CBS Austin anchor, Allison Miller, shows us how Camp Erin is making a difference in the lives of a special group of children.
Camp Erin Central Texas is a free bereavement camp for children and teens ages 6 - 17 who are grieving the death of someone close to them. It is a traditional, fun, high-energy camp combined with grief education, peer bonding, and emotional support led by grief support professionals and trained volunteers. Camp Erin Central Texas is a program of Hospice Austin and part of The Moyer Foundation's national Camp Erin program.
