A man accused of murdering his sister last week allegedly confessed to the crime, and it was all caught on a home security camera.
The Travis County Sheriff's Office says 25-year-old ex-University of Texas at San Antonio football player Michael Egwuagu stabbed his sister Jennifer Chioma Ebichi, 32, multiple times – killing her.
Law enforcement says that an autopsy conducted on Saturday confirmed she was in her first trimester of pregnancy. Her fetus also died as a result of her death.
Witnesses told police they heard Egwuagu and his sister yelling and screaming inside of the home, and a short time later, saw Egwuagu exit the home, smiling and with a bloody kitchen knife in his hand state, "I killed Jennifer."
His clothes were bloody, witnesses says and he walked out into the street and got on his knees as if he were praying.
The Travis County Sheriff's Office says a door bell camera from the home recorded Egwuagu exiting the home as witnesses described, and recorded him stating "I killed Jennifer."
Egwuagu was arrested at the scene and charged with murder. He is at the Travis County Jail with a bond set at $500,000.
