Missing Georgetown 12-year-old found safe
UPDATE: Georgetown Police say 12-year-old Conner Tart-Hisaw has been found safe. He was spending the night at a friend's house.
The friend's mother called Georgetown Police on Friday morning to say Conner was safe, and that she wasn't aware he was reported as missing.
Georgetown Police are searching for a missing 12-year-old boy who did not return home from school Thursday afternoon.
Investigators say Conner Tart-Hisaw never came home after leaving Benold Middle School.
Conner is 5'2", blond hair, blue eyes, 85 lbs. He was last seen wearing blue shorts, a plaid shirt, blue Under Armour tennis shoes, and carrying a black back pack.
Police say video surveillance from the school showed Conner leave the school at 4 p.m., walking toward Northwest Boulevard.
Investigators say information obtained from family members does not lead them to believe Conner is in danger or was abducted. An Amber Alert has not been issued, as the situation does not meet the required protocol, police say
Anyone with possible information is asked to call the Georgetown Police Department at 512-930-3510.
