If you live in Georgetown, you'll soon start paying more for your energy bill.

The city is hiking prices after suffering a $26 million budget shortfall. Starting February 1, the average electric bill will be about $12 higher.

The city says it is working to lower costs down the road, and is working to better manage its energy portfolio.
