UPDATE AT 10:30 a.m.: Joint Base San Antonio - Fort Sam Houston confirms that the lockdown has been lifted.

The suspect at-large has been identified and the San Antonio Police Department will be releasing their identity later in the day.

UPDATE at 10:25 a.m.: Joint Base San Antonio - Fort Sam Houston tweeted out information on the current lockdown.

In the statement, JBSA-Fort Sam Houston said that around 4 a.m. Friday, a vehicle with two occupants ran the Schofield Gate. Security pursued the vehicle, but the two occupants fled the vehicle on foot. One occupant was detained, but the other is still at large. The San Antonio Police Department and JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Security are working together on the situation.

UPDATE at 9:45 a.m.: Joint Base San Antonio - Fort Sam Houston was placed on a second lockdown on Friday morning due to what was descibed as a "security incident at one of the entry control points."

The post stated that the San Antonio Police Department and Security Forces are working together to handle the situation.
