GUADALUPE COUNTY, Texas – A land surveyor found a decaying body near the Guadalupe River Bridge on Monday.

KABB reported that the body was found in a brushy area of the 3400 block of FM 1117. The sheriff’s office said the discovery is just bones, and they cannot identify if they belong to a man or woman.

Tuesday, the family of missing Texas State University student, Jason Landry, responded to the report, saying they are aware of the discovery. On December 13, 2020, Jason Landry went missing after crashing his car near Luling, about 20 miles from the Guadalupe River where the body was found.

Landry’s family says law enforcement has all the necessary dental and DNA records determine if the body found Tuesday is Jason.
