WIMBERLEY, Texas — Hays County officials say Jacob's Well has stopped flowing for the fourth time in recorded history.
In a Facebook post, officials say the U.S. Geologic Survey measured zero "CFS discharge" from the natural spring in recent days.
Jacob's Well said this is the result of the ongoing drought and increased levels of groundwater pumping and it's a cause for concern.
Hays County is currently under extreme drought conditions, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.

The spring, located in Wimberley, also remains closed to swimming for the foreseeable future, but the park is still open daily for hiking and viewing of the spring.
