Disturbance shuts down Congress bridge for hours
AUSTIN, Texas —
Austin Police shut down the South Congress bridge for more than four hours Sunday evening.
Police and Austin Fire responded at 4:35 p.m. to the bridge. Initially southbound lanes were closed but northbound lanes ended up closed shortly thereafter.
Police took the subject on the bridge into custody peacefully close to 9:15 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
